Poppy Time

Symbology-&-Iconology

Symbols are an emotive communication device that convey big ideas in small packages.

Take the poppy. The ultimate meme. Created as the symbol of remembrance in 1918 by Moina Belle Michael. Inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields, she bought a bale of red silk and made poppies to commemorate all who died in WWI. A story with universal impact, starring an iconic icon.

Book November's #fabulousfriday lunch, explore the power of the poppy and take time out to think about the symbols or icons you could use to tell your brand story.

Who can attend?

#sisters, #bigsisters & #reallybigsisters.

Dress code

Be top of the pops with a fleur that's close to the heart. One that's full of meaning and packed with memories. Wear a solitary bloom. Or go to town with a corsage. Wear it with pride and feeling.
